Bitcoin Wallet Scam – Warning for the Cryptocurrency Community

Recently, a warning has been issued about a scammer responsible for stealing funds associated with a Bitcoin wallet. The criminal operates under the address bc1q6h274e67rdr7xpn2mr2ttnssjzx3rhlkug6m5q and deceived the victim, taking “0.01909606 BTC”.

The Scam and Fund Loss

The funds were rejected by the financial system Revolut, which does not accept cryptocurrencies originating from the KuCoin exchange. Eventually, the funds were transferred to the address: 1PXoo8aaKQEzJ39f98y6US7F5QixeJNRe7. The transaction initially appeared as “pending” under the address: b51ef474dedba6f44098b86f7f62a66abc38d2c6a2642a49e1414c32991d28e3, but the status was later changed to “invalid”.

The Scale of the Fraud

The scam associated with the wallet address bc1q6h274e67rdr7xpn2mr2ttnssjzx3rhlkug6m5q has currently affected around 300-400 BTC, equivalent to approximately 1363 BTC.

Actions Taken by Revolut

Initially, Revolut stated that the funds were on the Binance exchange, but later changed its position. Currently, they claim that the transaction has still not been executed and are taking steps to recover the funds.

Lack of Compensation After 4 Months

Four months have passed since the incident on April 10, and the defrauded individual has still not recovered their funds. The information provider warns that the mentioned Bitcoin wallet is suspected to belong to a cryptocurrency thief.
