DM2C Studio Announces Launch of Seamoon Protocol for Web3 Games

DM2C Studio, a part of the renowned DMM Group conglomerate from Japan, has made a strategic decision to introduce the innovative Seamoon Protocol. Aimed at revolutionizing the world of Web3 games and entertainment, the Seamoon Protocol is based on blockchain technology and offers a unique collection of attractions from the DMM.com Group’s intellectual property catalog.

Galaxy Interactive – Main Investor in DM2C Studio

One of the key moments for DM2C Studio was securing financial support in early December 2023, mainly through an investment from the New York-based venture capital firm, Galaxy Interactive. This collaboration enabled the dynamic growth of the studio and the realization of ambitious plans related to the development of the Seamoon Protocol.

Strategic Partners and DM2P Native Token

DM2C Studio has gained strategic partners in its portfolio, including companies such as Shima Capital, Bitfinex, Marblex, Square Enix, Planetarium Labs, Mask Network, and DeFimans. Along with the implementation of the Seamoon Protocol, the introduction of the native token DM2P is also planned, which will serve as the main digital currency of the protocol’s economy. This token is based on the ERC-20 standard, allowing for seamless utility across most major blockchains worldwide.

The DM2P token will also act as a mechanism for rewarding the Seamoon Protocol community for activity and in-game participation.

Development Plans and Launch of New Games

DM2C Studio aims to release new games based on the Seamoon Protocol, utilizing its internal resources and the potential for collaborations with external entities. The first series of games, scheduled for the coming months, will include a new version of the popular DMM.com game “Kanpani Girls RE: BLOOM.”

DM2C Studio CEO, Nagato Kasaki, emphasizes that the introduction of the Seamoon Protocol will allow a global audience not only to enjoy excellent games but also to earn rewards and experiences that surpass current standards in the digital gaming market.

DMM.com – Leader in the Entertainment Industry

The DMM Group, to which the DM2C Studio belongs, generates an annual revenue of around $2.5 billion. DMM.com owns 25 portfolio companies and was founded in Tokyo in 1999. The DMM Games division contributes to this success, generating about $570 million in annual revenue, with 34 million registered users and 950 employees.

As part of their development plans, DMM.com intends to create Web3 versions of their popular games such as “Kanpani Girls Re:Bloom,” “Kamiyagura,” “CoinMusume,” “Duelyst 3.0,” “Bounty Hunters,” and “Kyrie & Terra.”
