Controversial TON Turbo: Scam on Telegram?
TON Turbo – a Controversial Mini-App on Telegram
TON Turbo is a mini-application available on the Telegram platform that has sparked controversy among cryptocurrency users. The application offered the possibility of generating profits by depositing cryptocurrencies through a Telegram chat, promising almost double returns on investments.
Issues with Withdrawals and the Operation of TON Turbo
Users began reporting difficulties with withdrawals from the TON Turbo platform, whose deposit mechanism was one-way. After sending cryptocurrencies to the virtual mine, many users encountered problems with withdrawing rewards, prompting TON Turbo to discontinue customer support and block chats related to the application.
Unconfirmed Partnerships and Lack of Transparency
The TON Turbo project promised numerous partnerships, yet these claims were unconfirmed, and the community could not find any evidence of their existence. Meanwhile, the Telegram channel membership exceeded 54,889, with at least 10,600 users online, raising further suspicions.
Funds Over Time
After the TON Turbo administrators stopped responding to messages, the community began exposing the project as a potential scam. Social media reported hundreds, even thousands, of investors attempting to use the alleged Telegram mine. Unfortunately, the exact number of people who lost funds and the total amount of money lost due to this controversial project remain unknown.
It is worth noting that TON is a proof-of-stake blockchain, not proof-of-work like Bitcoin, which may impact the platform’s operation and user trust in it.
